"My role as a teacher is to spark students’ curiosity, to help them develop their ability to tackle challenging problems and complex ideas, and to help them become well-rounded, independent thinkers.  As a science instructor specifically, I strive to engage students in problem solving and authentic experiences to help them learn both scientific concepts and scientific reasoning."
